The mission of San Pedro Valley Academy is to prepare young men for success in college and careers by supporting and inspiring their academic and personal growth. Our dedicated faculty implements comprehensive individualized academic plans designed to challenge each student to strive for excellence.

When the teacher's role is to guide as well as instruct, the students' search for knowledge is met as they learn to find answers to their questions. For students to construct knowledge, they need the opportunity to discover and practice skills in supportive situations. We strive to provide our students with opportunities to learn with the use of authentic materials and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in college, work and life.

Equally important to self-discovery is having the opportunity to study things that are meaningful and relevant to one's life and interests. Our model is designed to challenge each student and foster his intrinsic motivation to learn. One way to take learning in a direction relevant to student interest is to invite student dialogue about the lessons and units of study. Our ultimate belief is that with quality instruction and the use of best teaching practices, all students can succeed.
